July 7, 2001

July 14, 2001 (14 weeks old) - One of Sophie's favorite comforts is to tuck her nose into whatever nook or cranny is handy: a blanket, a pillow, the crack of the couch or somebody's lap. It makes her feel all warm and snug.

August 24, 2001 - Back at the Public Garden, tongue hanging out from exertion and excitement. Sophie wears a harness outdoors. She is so eager when she leads a walk, she's never grasped the concept of self-strangulation. Her own collar digging into her windpipe is what causes all the coughing and gagging. We eventually had to switch to a chest harness to redistribute the pressure.

November 4, 2001 (8 months old) - You can see Sophie's coat changing and her body filling out. I love this Halloween collar with black cats against a full moon and dog bone-shaped candy corn.

March 17, 2002 - Sophie's almost a year old and basically full grown at this point.

Halloween 2002 - The adorable ladybug costume we subjected her to.

July 2003 - We had our bathroom renovated, and Sophie decided to come in and check out the new marble floor.

November 2003 - Looking very stylish in her sharp red flannel jacket.

October 12, 2004 - Just a sweet photo with Sophie's coat nicely stripped and well-groomed.
